For Donors

A donor is a person who gives blood to vampires in order for them to sustain their well being.

The most important rule in being a donor is that you must be willing to do it. No one can force you to be a donor and if you are being pressured do not get involved.

Donors should look out for their own safey, and be carefull about giving blood, because they could get hurt easily if something went wrong...

Before you start anything, ask the vampire how much blood they think they will need, and how often. Every vampire is different, so each vampires need for blood will variate. Never give more than a pint of blood in a month, because that's the maximum safe amount.

If you are a frequent donor, monitor how much blood you give and be carefull not to give too much. If you think it might be too much, let the vampire know right away, so they can ask a different donor, or at least give you a break.

A common issue with being a blood donor is that you might be carrying blood borne diseases, even HIV, and that's a problem because vampires aren't immune to that sorta thing just by being a vampire.

Also, remember to be careful how you let a vampire feed. Vampires don't need to bite into you to gain blood, there are other methods, like using small blades or syringes.

Biting and licking are a little risky, because a wound might get infected by the germs in the vampires mouth (everybody has em, the mouth is not a clean place)

Also, never give blood from a near an artery, it's dangerous, especially because you might loose too much blood.

Remember to clean any cuts or opened areas when you're done to prevent infection, too.

If you are uncomfortable with the vampire feeding directly from you, you can collect the blood in a small cup or spoon, so they don't have to touch you directly.

Perhaps most imporantly, only be a donor for someone you know and trust. If you've met them over the internet, and they invite you down to give blood, then don't go.

If you choose to become a donor remember to be careful, use good judgment, and common sense. Make sure you know what you're doing and that you're safe.
